Artist's Description

The Gormon falls are living limestone falls. Unlike most waterfalls this one is growing not getting smaller. The Gormon spring that drains over it are loaded with carbon dioxide which breaks down the limestone before it gets to the falls and deposits the sediment as the Carbon dioxide thins out covering plants and the bottom of the creek above and below the falls. This creates stalactites where the water runs down slower out in the open. We can sit and watch them form without entering caves.
